Albion Street Steering Group (ASSG)

1. The vision
Albion Street as a vibrant, busy, attractive and well-maintained street, with a range of retail, leisure and specialist provision that meets the needs of the diverse local community and which attracts visitors from a wider area.
2. Role and purpose
To act as a task and finish group to influence the initial development of Albion Street that reflects the needs and aspirations of the local community. On completion of this task the ASSG will hand over ongoing work to a Friends of Albion Street group or similar organisation. To achieve these goals the ASSG will engage with stakeholders, representing their views and disseminating information on any recommendations made to stakeholders. In carrying out its functions the ASSG will have access to Council Officers and other advisors throughout the duration of the project.
